About This Object
A Shinshintō wakizashi by Chounsai Koretoshi, who succeeded to the Chounsai art name around Ansei 3 (1856). He was the grandson of the first-generation Chounsai Tsunatoshi and is known for his flamboyant style and excellent craftsmanship in the waning years of the Edo period.
