About This Object
A Shintō katana by Fujiwara Noriyuki of the Takada school of Bungo Province. The Takada school, traditionally said to have been founded by Taira Nagamori, flourished in Takada (Bungo) and is known for sturdy, powerful blades with a commanding presence.
